Example is a flower, that is a mixture of Circle and Triangles

When you learn the shapes, you can identify how to create and flow your design

When you create shapes, you begin to build direction
- where is the picture going
- how does it flow
- what is the depth

When you start, it can look like just lines, but when you add shade, depth is created. When you add circles, motions is created. They all work together

Elements of Drawing

Shape
2 dimensional created by lines. Circle, Triangle, square, also can be created by color boundaries.
Line
Most basic element, Straight, Curved, Jagged. They define and create shapes
Form
3 dimensional aspects of shape - gives shapes volume. Mass - IE Sphere or Pyramid
Space
Area around shapers. Create depth & perspective
Value
Lightness & Darkness of Color and Tone. Creates volume
Color
Color is Hue, saturation brightness. It sets emotion and creates contract
Texture
Surface quality of an object (shape) Using line, it creates smooth, soft, hard (line-space, value)
