Linework is the most important piece in tattoos - If the linework is shitty, the whole piece fails.

When you trace, you get to know movement and flow

When you draw the letter C, you should flow with the curve of the letter. It curves when you write it, you know to go in a circular motion. You may pause to connect the bottom

Letter K
You have three connecting lines
-first line start top to bottom
-top line angle to center of line 1
-bottom line angled center to bottom
